The ClearLight system uses a unique high-intensity, blue-violet light that treats moderate, inflammatory acne. The blue-violet light, which penetrates just deep enough into the tissue to reach the acne target, activates the bacteria-fighting militia, called porphyrins; the porphyrins start a chemical reaction that produces peroxide and destroys the P. acnes bacteria causing the inflamed blemishes (lesions).

ClearLight treatment sessions take only 25 minutes typically two times a week for 4 weeks; some clients need three treatments, depending on the severity of acne. Clients lie comfortably, while the therapeutic light is applied. ClearLight treatments are described as easy, even relaxing, but most importantly - painless and safe.  

It is important to know that there is no "cure" for acne; however ClearLight treatments will help eliminate the P. acnes bacteria in treated areas.
